Who is Nathan Darmody?
Nathan Darmody, a proud San Diego native, embodies the laid-back spirit of his coastal hometown. Not only is he a passionate surfer, but he's also renowned as a musical guru and one of the warmest individuals you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. His journey through the music industry is as remarkable as it is diverse.
Under the prestigious Hollywood Records label, Nathan has had the pleasure of sharing stages with the likes of Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, the Jonas Brothers, and Marianas Trench, among other incredibly talented artists in the former Disney-pop band Allstar Weekend. But his story doesn't stop there.
Nathan's musical pursuits are multifaceted. He's deeply involved in podcasting and artist development through his company, IWXO (short for "I'm With Love"). Through IWXO, he's successfully nurtured budding musicians, guiding them from fledgling talents to fully-fledged artists. His approach involves meticulously crafting music portfolios and providing mentorship every step of the way, from assembling bands to aiding them in navigating fast-paced and demanding environments in the music scene.
Beyond production, Nathan brings a powerful A&R background. He has worked directly with independent labels and artist teams to elevate releases, develop talent, and guide projects from early demos to final delivery. His work has included connecting artists with world-class mixing engineers, overseeing vocal production, coordinating sessions, and pitching.
Additionally, Nathan's expertise extends to music management, having secured coveted slots for bands at the SXSW music festival. He's a master at organizing tours and has fostered strong relationships within the alternative, rock, pop-punk, and shoegaze music scenes. Through his extensive network of music agents, engineers, and established artists, Nathan continues to make significant contributions to the industry, leaving an enduring impact wherever his passion for music takes him.
